Almost a year...
I don't know how it has happened, but It has been almost a year since i have posted anything. I love the idea of blogging and having a way to track my thoughts and ideas but for some reason I haven't done it. I have been so discouraged because I look around and realize I have so much to do and just don't know where to start. So, my first plan is to get my ideas together in one place so I can prioritize and start marking things off my list!
First off, I have been bothered by the color of my living room/Dining room since we moved in. Don't get me wrong, I love the color but I think what happened is I chose the color before moving in. I love this greenish blue color but would prefer if to be in the accents. Then, last month I got my new Ballard Designs catalog and realized I need to just suck it up and paint if I want to be happy with my space:
I couldn't find the entire photo on the site but I am leaning towards going for the creamy neutral color so all of my accents pop. I have also recently purchased a new dining table
I still need new chairs but my hubby (AWESOME HUBBY WHO MUST REALLY LOVE ME) went to West Chester, OH to the Ballard Outlet to buy our new couches and surprised me with this table. It is normally $999 and he got it for $400! I have been wanting a new table since we moved into this house 2 years ago because I started hosting family holiday meals and we had the room for a bigger table but it just wasn't a priority. But for a 10 person table, even my hubby couldn't pass up that kind of deal. I never really cared for the walnut stained furniture but I have learned to love it. All of our trim, doors, and woodwork is walnut stained. I have struggled to blend them with my furnishings and then all of a sudden the Ballard catalogs started showing walnut more and more! I am so happy because I have always LOVED the Pottery Barn look, (we're talking I used to have Pottery Barn catalogs delivered to my mailbox in college, and I had already been getting them since I was a sophomore in high school) But PB never really used the walnut look so I am thankful for my new love (Ballard).

It's been a while....
So I haven't posted forever it seems. I am still trying to get pictures to load properly with my posts. Anyhow, I am so ready for some warm weather it's not even funny;) I have so many projects to do that require being outside. My hope is to get some major projects done that I have had on my to-do list for a while. Until then, here are some things on my "want" list:
This Nest pillow is from Pottery Barn. I am still trying to figure out a way to make it because it is perfect for my living room but I have a hard time paying the price. I love the definition it gives and I have been incorperating the whole bird theme into the living room and dining room. The next picture is also from Pottery Barn. (OK OK I am crazy for pillows and PB, its a bad combination for me) These would look perfect in my Family Room because of the black and cream gingham pillow and curtains I have. I love the numbers and I am not quite sure why...

Next, I need rugs! the problem is, rugs are not cheap! However, surprisingly enough, I found some from Ballard designs that are actually resonable. I think the light colored one would look best in the Living room and I like the simple pattern to it. Also, these rugs are indoor/outdoor which is what makes them more affordable and since I am putting one in the front entry, living room, and dining room, I feel like they will work better than a wool.
So, that's all for now cause the list goes on and on!

More rate my space....
So I have been busy getting my rooms done and taking pictures of them to throw on RMS. As I go I will start sharing some of the great deals I have come across on my shopping adventures as well as any crafts I have done. I first wanted to share my AWESOME deal I got on the headboard in my daughter's room. I have been looking for something that I could paint or change somehow from goodwill and then on Sunday, 30 min. before they opened I happened to see it from the road! I quickly pulled in and caught someone working there to ask how much it was... $8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you believe that?!?!?! And I didn't even have to break open a new can of Spray-paint!!!!! (you will soon learn that I look at spray-paint the same way most men look at Duct Tape:) Anyhow, I was super excited to say the least!

FINALLY on Rate my Space!
So I have wanted to put my rooms on Rate My Space for over 2 years but just when I started to love my house and was ready to take pictures of every room, we remodeled my grandma's house and moved into it! I wish now I would have taken pictures because it shows how much my own personality has changed and how my likes have changed.... As a result, I am going to start posting pictures of my house occasionally whenever I change something or am able to buy new stuff:) Comments are always welcome, I like constructive critisism! We have only lived here for 10 months so I have a long way to got to fill every room the way I would like.
Here is my daughter's bedroom I recently completed after switching her crib for a big girl bed. Thanks for looking and check out my rate my space to rate me please! (MemeAmour)

What am I doing??
OK, so I have considered starting a blog for a while but my concern is that I am not interesting:) My husband has always wanted me to find a hobby that does not cost money (i.e. shopping) so I thought maybe blogging could be my hobby even if no one ever reads any of this! And why not blog about shopping and decorating (which decor is what I shop for). I don't know, we will see!
